As the health of our patients, staff, doctors, and the community in general is our #1 priority, Retina Consultants of Puerto Rico implements the following safety measures. These will remain in effect indefinitely during the COVID-19 pandemic and will help ensure that the patient receives the safest, most efficient and highest quality care possible.

‍Phone Screenings: Every upcoming patient will receive a screening phone call from our staff who will ask a series of health-related questions to determine if the visit can proceed.

‍Social Distancing: Our waiting rooms have been rearranged to accommodate the CDC recommended distances between patients. We ask that, unless a patient cannot care for his or herself for cannot ambulate, the patient arrive for the appointment alone.

‍Temperature Monitoring: All patients will be required to have their temperature checked by a staff member. This will be contact-less.
‍
‍Face Coverings: All patients are required to wear a face mask when they arrive and during their visit.
‍
‍Personal Protective Equipment: All RCPR staff and physicians will wear face masks and gloves while treating the patient.
‍
‍Cleaning Procedures: Every exam lane and all equipment are thoroughly disinfected between appointments. All other offices areas are sanitized daily as well.
‍
TeleHealth Appointments: We are continuing to provide the option of telehealth appointments the out physicians by phone, mobile device, or computer. Medicare and Medicare Advantages cover these appointments so far.
