If you are coming to one of our offices, we continue to follow safety guidelines from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (aao.org) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (cdc.gov).

Safety Measures

As the health of our patients, staff, doctors, and the community in general is our #1 priority, Retina Consultants of Puerto Rico implements the following safety measures. These will remain in effect indefinitely during the COVID-19 pandemic and will help ensure that the patient receives the safest, most efficient and highest quality care possible.
Phone Screenings: Every upcoming patient will receive a screening phone call from our staff who will ask a series of health-related questions to determine if the visit can proceed.
Social Distancing: Our waiting rooms have been rearranged to accommodate the CDC recommended distances between patients. We ask that, unless a patient cannot care for his or herself for cannot ambulate, the patient arrive for the appointment alone.
Temperature Monitoring: All patients will be required to have their temperature checked by a staff member. This will be contact-less.
Face Coverings: All patients are required to wear a face mask when they arrive and during their visit.
Personal Protective Equipment: All RCPR staff and physicians will wear face masks and gloves while treating the patient.
Cleaning Procedures: Every exam lane and all equipment are thoroughly disinfected between appointments. All other offices areas are sanitized daily as well.
TeleHealth Appointments: We are continuing to provide the option of telehealth appointments the out physicians by phone, mobile device, or computer. Medicare and Medicare Advantages cover these appointments so far.
