We are pleased to offer Optos Ulta Wide - field Fundus Photography and Fluorescein Angiography in our Auxilio Mutuo and Manati offices. This is an innovative and truly revolutionary technology for Retinal photography which allows us to image a much greater area of the Retina than with conventional photography. This allows us to better earlier, and more efficiently detect retinal diseases such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Detachments and Retinal Tumors. In this time of COVID-19 it is also very safe as there is no contact with the technicians and no pupillary dilation is needed, making the visit faster. Optos photography is often used for tele-health visits in which the patient can have their photograph in the office in a quick visit, the image is reviewed by the physician and later discussed with the patient online or via telephone. Optos Photography is excellent for patient education as the Retina is very clearly visualized and may be magnified.
